23-24 March 2024
Calling all UCOC members!!!! Are you ready for an insane weekend of getting lost in the bush around the stunning Castle Hill area?🤙 From absolute beginners to seasoned pros, this is the camp for you! This year it is being held on the 23rd and 24th of March. This is the last weekend of Term 1 for the UC calendar.
The Plan
We’ll drive out to the Castle Hill area early morning on Saturday 23rd. From here we will commence the antics on some of Christchurch’s most iconic maps including Castle Hill, Flock Hill and Hogsback. Be prepared to explore scree slopes and native beech forest as well as participate in other social events (potentially with a star relay, punching race and quiz night on the cards🤫)! We’ll stay at the STAC Castle Hill lodge on Saturday night and then head out for some more adventures in the bush on Sunday! – driving back to Christchurch on Sunday evening.
Why Should I Come?
It is a multi-level camp, with courses set for both beginners and for our competitive club veterans. Not only is it a not-to-be-missed social event, this is a perfect opportunity to improve your orienteering skills, try out some new maps and meet awesome, likeminded people. 🙂 Don’t miss out, keep an eye on sign ups and more information to be sent out soon!!
